AC Repairs As Intertwined With Automotive Electronic Repair
AC repairs of vehicles require an elaborate and meticulous plan of action, which is preferably handled, by a qualified mechanic or technician to avoid the air conditioning system developing more issues or even being rendered a write off. The ability to detect and fix small car air conditioning related issues can actually save you a lot of expensive repairs and related headaches, which means that you will be able to have spare cash to spend elsewhere, said a dealer of Japan car imports and fishing charter who also knew much about cheap cars from Japan car auctions.
This article will attempt to explore ways of repairing problems of a car AC system that are primarily caused by associated electronics and their repairs. Air conditioning system not being sufficiently cool can be because of the following reasons. After you AC is switched on, the clutch presents engagement problems. This can be taken care of through fuse replacement, although a recurrence of the same is bound to happen soon if proper diagnostic is not carried out.The magnetic clutch being out of order is sure to cause the proper cooling of a vehicles AC system to be down more so when the compressor does not work even after receiving a voltage input.
Squeaky sounds emanating from the belt of a compressor in most instances means that the compressor is out of order. This calls for the replacement of the compressor immediately especially if the clutch is working normally. Most mechanics bear witness that leaking refrigerant is a very common problem associated with AC systems repair and maintenance. This problem can be addressed through a variety of methods that include hose, O-ring and seal replacement plus the installation of electronic detectors.
AC systems of vehicles exhibit a problem that is known as intermittent cooling where the system alternates between hot and dry air streams and this is primarily caused by moisture or air in the AC system. Vacuum pumps are known to be efficient in eliminating this problem of intermittent cooling by doing away with the trapped moisture and or air through their sucking action. Electrical faults like faulty temperature sensors, control modules, compressor clutch and switches/relays that are defective have also been known to cause intermittent cooling. Noise in AC systems is widespread and it is due to a variety of factors, which include compressor problems, poor lubricant choice, refrigerant contamination and loose hoses and other parts. AC systems are also likely to have bad odors emanating from them. This is primarily due to the evaporator having bacteria, which can cause health issues if not properly addressed. This can easily be solved by deploying disinfectants in to the evaporator and blower ducts.
How do I check for auto a/c leak?
I replaced the compressor. A vacuum test shows a leak. Is there a way to find a leak before putting all that expensive freon in the system and possibly loose it because I have to replace an o-ring? (95 Pontiac Bonneville)
The best way is to use nitrogen and pressurize the system. With a leak that large, you will hear or feel it. A/C dye is good to spot small leaks but impractical with large ones. Never use air to pressurize the system as it will saturate your receiver/dryer which you should replace anyway after you have fixed all leaks.
