can i use the same drain as the dishwasher uses for my portable washing machine by using a tee at the drain co?

i am trying to add a portable washing machine to my kitchen. It has the same drain hose as the dishwasher. I was wondering if i can connect the washing washine to the same tail pipe piece as the dishwasher by using a tee at the drain connection point. My biggest concern is that when one is draining that the waste is not going to go into the other machine rather than into the drain. I would put check valves but I don't know where to get them for such a pipe. thanks...

Certainly Not exactly a Standard Practice...
but I Like it when people think ‘Outside the Box’.
Theoretically speaking, Installing a Check-Valve would keep the water from being sucked back into the washing machine. You can buy them at Home-Depot or LOWE’s in the Isle that has Well Pumps & Supplies. Your concern about water going down the other machine is valid but it would depend on the Design, Size, and Flow of your drains. If you used a Check Valve on Both Machines it just might work.
I’d keep an eye out for Leaks the 1st few times you operate both machines.
Years ago I had a Portable Dishwasher that was designed to simply place the drain hose in the Kitchen sink. It Had a Check-Valve Installed in it in case the Sink was to ever back up, (maybe your washing machine already has a Check-Valve???)
