I have joined copper and cpvc pipes using a brass (I think it's brass) compression fitting. On the cpvc side, I used an insert to keep the pipe from crushing. There are no leaks, but I'm worried about it. Will it hold up?
As far as I know.. you should of used a compression ring on the pipe.. I always do..thats why you use an insert.. its to give the ring something to grip to without crushing the pipe. So I would say you have nothing to worry about
